In our many years as wedding photographers we visited loads of beautiful venues in Piedmont, and we’re always on the lookout for new places: so, in no particular order, here’s our latest and favorite findings:

1. TENUTA SANTA CATERINA

Tenuta Santa Caterina is a beautiful historic old mansion located in the heart of the Monferrato hills. This stunning venue offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside. The estate dates back to the 17th century and has been meticulously restored to maintain its original charm and character. The venue features six beautiful suites, as well as multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for the ceremony and reception, including a beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards.

A highlight of the Tenuta is the estate’s old cellars, where you’ll find on display the full flourish of the property’s wines… and of course don’t leave without having a good taste of them all!

2. NORDELAIA

If you’re looking for a countryside venue with a modern and chic vibe, Nordelaia (website here) might be the perfect choice for you. Built around an 800-year-old farmhouse in Monferrato, a complete restoration was carried out with the upmost respect and care for the venue’s heritage and tradition. This contemporary venue features a sleek design and modern touches, while still maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nordelaia has twelve beautifully and individually designed rooms, each offering its own unique character and feel. This will allow you to host quite a few of your guests – and maybe all of them – right at the venue.

Set within five acres of their own farmland, Nordelaia boasts a direct connection with nature and the environment. Certainly, you will find a yummy proof of this in the menus of their restaurant!

3. CASA SCAPARONE

Nestled in the picturesque hills of the Langhe region, Casa Scaparone offers a unique and intimate setting for your wedding celebration. The venue is a restored farmhouse that dates back to the 18th century, and features rustic charm and authentic Italian character. The property’s rich history and character, from the original stone facade to the beautiful vineyards and olive groves, could easily become the perfect backdrop for your special day. The guest rooms and suites all have their own unique style and lovely classical details. The on-site Michelin starred restaurant uses produce from their own organic gardens, and the wine vaults add to the unique character of the venue. The Relais is a spa resort as well, so by all means don’t forget to pamper yourself in their signature spa salt cave before the big event!
