The Italian Lakes have a particular kind of glamour, one that has been attracting people from all over the world for two centuries and still hasn't lost its effect. Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, Lake Garda: each has its own character, its own light, its own way of making a wedding feel like something out of a film. We are based in Northwest Italy, which means the lakes are our backyard. We know the morning mist on Lake Maggiore, the way Villa Rusconi Clerici looks at golden hour, the particular blue of Como on a clear September afternoon. We photograph here the way you photograph somewhere you genuinely love.
We're Ludovica and Valerio, wedding photographers based in Piedmont, right on the doorstep of Lake Maggiore and within easy reach of Lake Como and Lake Garda. Since 2015 we've been documenting weddings across all three lakes, from intimate elopements on private villa terraces to larger celebrations on the water, with boats, ferries, and the kind of light that makes everything look effortless. We work quietly and instinctively, always staying close to what's actually happening rather than what's supposed to happen.
We count ourselves lucky in that our job is what we love the most: creating authentic, emotional photography for intimate and exclusive Italian weddings and elopements.

A wedding on the Italian Lakes can take many forms. A ceremony in the gardens of a Belle Époque villa on Lake Como, with the mountains reflected in the water below. A boat reception on Lake Maggiore as the sun sets behind the Borromean Islands. A dinner on a lakeside terrace at Lake Garda, with the sound of the water and the last light on the hills. Whatever yours looks like, the lakes have a way of making everything feel cinematic without trying, and that's exactly the kind of moment we're there to catch. Some of the venues we've had the privilege of working at include Villa Rusconi Clerici on Lake Maggiore and several private villas on Lake Como and Lake Garda.
