Umbria is the Italy that people don't always know to look for, and that's precisely what makes it so special. No coastline, no famous skyline, just hills, olive groves, medieval stone villages, and a quality of silence that Tuscany lost a long time ago. Weddings here feel genuinely unhurried. The light in Umbria is softer than elsewhere, filtered through oak forests and ancient walls, and it does things to photographs that are difficult to plan for and impossible to replicate. We photograph here because it surprises us every time.
We're Ludovica and Valerio, wedding photographers working across Italy since 2015. Umbria is one of our favourite regions to photograph in, not despite its quietness, but because of it. We've documented weddings across the region, from intimate celebrations in the hills above Perugia to larger events in the valleys of the Valnerina and the shores of Lake Trasimeno. We work in a documentary style: we observe, we wait, and we let the place do what it does best.
We count ourselves lucky in that our job is what we love the most: creating authentic, emotional photography for intimate and exclusive Italian weddings and elopements.
We love capturing moments as they happen and documenting real human connection and raw emotions. This way, the most touching moments of your wedding will turn into so many beautiful lifelong memories.

A wedding in Umbria tends to attract a particular kind of couple, one that has already considered Tuscany and chosen something less obvious. The region offers medieval hill towns like Spoleto, Spello, and Montefalco, historic farmhouses surrounded by sunflowers and olive trees, and venues like Casa Bruciata and Fonte Sala that feel genuinely lived-in rather than staged.
It's a region where the food and wine Sagrantino di Montefalco, black truffle, hand-rolled pasta — are as much a part of the day as the ceremony itself. We photograph all of it, from the first light of the morning to the last glass of the evening.
